NITK is the college of national importance and its engineering ranking is 12 and its placement records are also good. For my branch (Information Technology) average placement is 27 lakhs per annum and overall college average placement is 18 lakhs per annum. This college has private beach and campus is spread across 300 acres. There are many things to explore in the college.

In first year all branch are divided into two batches that physics cycle and chemistry cycles. All circuital branch students are in same cycles and others in same cycles. Almost there is same curriculum for all branch students in first year. There are two quizzes, assignments, lab test, mid semester exam, and end semester exam. Each semester has around 20 credits. Students have to around 170 credits till eighth semester to get the degrees. Passing percentage is around 20 marks in every subject.

Professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable and most of them done their degrees from the reputed colleges or universities like NITS or IITS or from foreign universities. They have also doctorate degrees. Faculties are also helpful and they guide students while doing projects. Many students doing projects like capstone projects under the guidance of specific professors.

Yes, we have active Placement Cells in the college. They guide students also. Highest placement package of the college is 58 lakhs per annum and minimum is 8 lakhs per annum and average is 18 lakhs per annum. And almost 96% students get placed every year. For my branch that is Information Technology there is 100% placements percentage.

Yes, we have residential facilities as well as mess facilities in the colleges. In first year students are allotted triple sharing rooms and from second year’s onward students have option for opting single rooms or double sharing rooms but not attached bathrooms. In rooms there is separate bed for each students and separate table, chair, and cupboard, and one ceiling fan. Both veg as well as non veg mess is available.

Campus is divided into two parts one is one side of roads and other is other side of road. We called it as east and west campus. East campus has all core branches buildings like Mechanical, Civil, etc. and main building and library is also in the east campus itself. Two lecture hall is also in the east campus only one is LHC-A and other is CIDS all hostels girls as well as boys are also in this campus only it is connected to the west campus by tunnel in west campus all circuital branch like CSE, ECE, IT, and EEE and one lecture hall is there that LHC-C. Beach gate is also in the west campus.

Campus life is full enjoyments with lots of works with hectic schedule. There are many clubs technical as well as cultural. Almost two or three activities happen every week in the campus. Incident is the largest cultural fest of the college which happened in the months of march or April. And Engineer is the largest technical fest of the college which happened in the month of October. Lots of functions like Bharat Darshans, Ganesh Puja, Celebrations, etc. happen time to time in the campus. Campus life is full of joy and happiness along with academics part.
