University of Petroleum and Energy Studies B.Com Review By Pratham Kapoor

My overall experience in my college is great it has knowledgeable teachers, infrastructure is awesome, and the weather of UPES colleges is extremely good in morning. Anurag sir the CC of B.Com is good and helpful. The faculty of SOB is supportive in nature and they help students with their studies. Sumit sir the Main head of B.Com plays important role in our course. There are 2 campuses of UPES one is Kandoli and other is Bhidoli. In Kandoli they have SOB, SOL, Media study and in Bhidoli they have B.Tech and Computer courses.

My course is B.Com Honors. They give three options to the students that are B.Com, Banking and Taxation. I have chosen B.Com in Banking and Management. Requirements for entry in this course are you have to 12th class and minimum percent required is 70%. I enrolled in this college as they provided me with different options of specialisation with B.Com.

The faculty is very good and supportive in nature. They are always ready to help us and teach us by using real life examples. I have learnt many things like stock market put call options, tax regime, behavior finance, HR Management, cost accounting and finance accounting and many more. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders and some of them are doing Ph.D from UPES only.

Yes they have placement cells, they have separate department for placement. They provide different placement opportunities to the students and they also provide training to the students for cracking the interviews. They teach us each and every thing about placement. In MBA the average placement package is 7-8 LPA and the highest is 30 LPA.

It has residential facilities but I have not stayed in hostel I stayed in outside PG from college. The rent for college hostel is very high it is about 1, 90,000 for 1 year when I take admission and it is more expensive now. They provide you AC also but the charge is very high.

Infrastructure for college is mesmerizing. The Kandoli campus has SOB, SOL and media school they have small campus as compare to Bhidoli. Bhidoli campus is large. They have gym, auditorium, badminton court, and ground for cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball. You can play many games at evening when you’re done with your classes.

Campus life for UPES is good. The crowd of UPES is awesome student came here from all over India. They have one exchange program in which foreign student came here and our UPES student go there for studies. Many African and Nigerian students came when I was in college during 2022 and 2023. Different fests are conducted in the college. Cafes and canteens are also present in the college for students.
