Thapar - An Experience

Overall Rating
Thapar University is a grand experience, where you get to meet people from all over India and interact with and learn from them. I have made some of my best friends here and they too have learnt something about my culture. I am not from the North, so I got to see how people actually live in Punjab and enjoy their food, culture, and dances. I learnt Punjabi as well.
 

Academics Rating
Thapar has an Excellent curriculum, Classrooms, Technology, and a state of art Library with over 10,000 books. Thapar includes courses that other colleges usually don’t include in their Curriculum so that students are the ones benefiting and staying on top of their fields.
 

Faculty Rating
Thapar Faculty are at the top of their fields. Most of them are Ph.D scholars and have an excellent grip on their subjects. They are able to teach us in a way we understand. Very open with doubts and sometimes help students to go beyond the exam syllabus. Most of them are even heads of clubs to expand the minds of students.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a Placement cell in Thapar which is very active in sending us all the opportunities that we can get. They especially go out of their way to get companies to come to college. Companies that come for placement are Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college has some of the best hostels in the Country, they are literally a 5-star experience all Air conditioned and have options for single or double seater. Best mess food by sodexo along with a late-night canteen. Laundry service is provided as well. Rooms are cleaned by aunties every 2 days, including balconies as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
They have so many buildings and the best hostels with all the facilities one can think of, Computer labs with Mac computers, Stunning interiors, and Professionals. Best chill areas like Nirvana and Skywalk where students can enjoy, Greenery all around.
 

Campus Rating
Thapar has the best fests like Saturnalia where bog artists like Mohit Chauhan and Zaeden have performed. Urja sports fest with all sorts of sports competitions with participants from all colleges. Many clubs ranging from sports to tech like CCS, ISTE, EDC, Nox, Litsoc, GDSC ( google), etc.

    Overall experience at Thapar University is a mix of different emotions. One faces many new experiences and a change in lifestyle is definitely observed but the societies at Thapar University makes it easier for the first year students to have a smooth shift.
