Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is really a good college, the first thing I noticed after entering it was its large 150+ acres campus. Literally, like a national forest that has very large containing lakes, gardens etc. Then we come to the buildings which are too magnificent. It has departments such as Computer Science, Electrical and Instrumentation, Electronics, and Food and Chemical. The reason why I chose this institute was that it was among the top listed Government-Funded Technical institution. The faculty is very experienced. There are many technical and non-technical clubs here in which we can keep your selves indulged. a specific sports complex with a student activity centre, a separate marathon ground, and a large cricket ground with a pitch too.

There are many courses offered here such as Bachelors in - Computer Sciences, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, Chemical & Food Departments. There are diplomas too with the same as the above courses. The entry is through the JEE Mains rank for B.E and for diploma there is a SLIET ADMISSION TEST conducted across India.

The faculty here are really top level as most of them have their Ph.Ds from foreign universities. Some have really qualified for the Engineering Services Examinations, many are Gate rank holders, and some have their engineering books published as first authors. Literally, all clubs are held by faculties.

The placement here is decent with around 4 LPA average salary and a few of them bagged 15 LPA in 2023. The mechanical department has a large number of placements here.

Yes, we have residential hostels in your institutions. there are a total of 10 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels. The girl's hostels are literally bound and are secured the same held for boys too. There is a 24-hour guard available and morning 6 am to midnight. B.H.S( boys hostel service man) and all hostels have separate wardens that have collectively a chief warden. Rooms are decently good with 3,2 and single seater hostels. All hostels have their separate badminton courts, TV room, reading rooms, the large mess in all hostels, bathrooms are cleaned literally daily, and floors are cleaned daily. No doubt in cleanliness all hostels have a cycle parking and benches with a garden too to just sit and relax.

Campus academic blocks are very large, Mechanical blocks are the oldest and the largest blocks. There are newly constructed academic blocks with all digital classes. All academic blocks have digital classes in them. Science Blocks have well-defined Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Labs. Labs such as Digital Electronics, Sensors Transducers, etc many more are in Electrical and Instrumentation Department. Computer blocks have more labs than classes.

Campus Life is really very enjoyable, there are many eatery places such as named complex - which contains a temple, bank, photostat shops, laundry shop, bakery, general store, general store and a store which literally contains everything for daily needs. The other one is s.a.c which has around 7 food shops where we can have snacking to food from juices to fruits. There are yearly 3 fests namely MADHURAM(CULTURAL FEST), TECHFEST and also a FOOD FEST. We have a large sports complex for tennis, kabaddi, volleyball courts, a large stadium and well-versed gardens, herbal parks etc.
