I'm currently in my third year and through my overall experience I can say it is the best choice I could have taken. You can’t just sit around and linger here and there because everyone would be busy doing great things. As there is no reservations in BITSAT so the students come totally on merit hence the overall quality is very good. One major drawback is the fees which is increasing semester per semester. Although we get scholarships according to our CGPA but then also overall fee is very high. Other than that I don’t see any problem in overall college.

The college has two types of entries. First one is the dual degree system in which you will be enrolled in an M.Sc Degree (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, and Economics). After your first year, you will be Allotted a BE degree according to the CGPA you got in your first year. Minimum CGPA for CS degree is 8.38 for 2023 batch and it is mostly around this only. For ECE branch it is around 8.01 and of EEE branch it is around 7.4 and for ENI it is around 7.1 and for other branches lower than that. Other mode is the normal 4 year BE which will be normally coordinated. M.Sc dual degree course will be for 5 years. Companies which come for placements do not differentiate between single and dual degree students as such.

Teachers here are also very cool. Professors are very supportive and offer study projects under them as well. We have a certain structure that we can take study projects under the professors of our branch and that would be counted under credits. So it’s a very cool thing to do. Overall quality of professors is too good.

Placements are the best part for this college. We have Placement Cell in our institute as well. They maintain website for the college students for accelerating the students performance in the last 2 3 months. They provide ample of handpicked resources for us to study and the seniors are always available to guide us. Average package is around 19 to 20 lakhs and CS average package is around 25 to 28 lakhs per annum.

Yes, we have hostels as well. There are total 11 boys hostel in the institute and 1 girl’s hostel although girl’s hostel is quite large. All the hostels are named as bhawans on the famous scientists and philosophers. Hostel life is too good. In our first year we have double rooms and no one gets single room. In our second year also we get double rooms only. From third year onwards we get single rooms. Elections are held every year in which each hostel chooses hostel representatives for their hostels and they work for the betterment of the institute. Students in a particular hostel are mixed up. It may include first year and third or 2nd year and 4th year students. Overall hostel life is just too good.

There is a place called Rotunda which is the main thing which you would see in photos as well. New Academic block (NAB) is the best part of the overall infrastructure of BITS. Snake path through NAB leading to Rotunda is the best part overall of the college. The library is also a good place where you can find any book. The playground of BITS is very good for sports activities.

Campus life is simply amazing. As there is no reservation so the crowd here is just amazing. Ample of clubs are there from student union technical clubs to astro club, mime club (mimicry club), and many more. If there is anything you can think off most probably the club would be there for that. Dance club and gurukul (singing club), karoke club, and many more. Seniors are too good in their field and are very supportive.
