Shri Ram College of Commerce is one of the top colleges of the Delhi University. Successfully getting admission into it is a dream comes true for commerce students all over the country. Who would not want to step into Asia’s No.1 Commerce College and claims it to be their alma mater? Well, the story is similar for me as well. Scoring a 98.8% in class 12th CBSE boards was a remarkable feat for any student; getting into SRCC was the cherry on the cake. SRCC admission process is dependent on the marks scored by a student in his/her class 12th examinations. SRCC cut off list is one of the highest in the country, so one has to be a scholar to make it through the list. The college currently offers two undergraduate courses- Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) and Bachelor of Arts Hons. in Economics (BA (H) Economics).

Currently, I am a sophomore pursuing Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.), commonly abbreviated as B.Com (H). SR, as we call it, has opened gates to a world full of opportunities and expeditions. Here, you meet people from all sorts of backgrounds and geographies – you’ll find valuable connections and unforgettable experiences.

The faculty is always there to support, guide, and assist you through all walks of life. Every interaction with a teacher will leave you with priceless pearls of wisdom. They will help you write research papers, prepare project reports, undertake internships, and make prudent decisions.

Above all, SRCC College bags the best position in placements. The records every year have been better than earlier in terms of quality as well as quantity. The college’s placement cell works hard day and night to invite the biggest and most renowned companies like Bain and Co., McKinney, Boston Consultancy Group (BCG), EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PWC, and Hindustan Unilever. As stated on the college website, the academic year 2019-20 witnessed a successful recruitment season in which 500+ offers were extended, aggregating to a gross value of as much as 23.03 crores. Leading corporate, including the Big 4s of the audit world, embrace the placement season with their presence. SRCC’s average package goes as high as 12 lakhs per annum. Interestingly, the placement cell isn’t just about final year placements but also offers regular fellowships, internships, and article ships.

Internship opportunities are available for both first-year and second-year students who want to get well acquainted with the corporate world. Utilizing these opportunities, an ambitious student can discover his/her passion, interest, and potential. This year’s highest internship offer stood at an astonishing Rs 1 lakh per month.

SRCC has both girls' and boys' hostel within the campus boundaries. SRCC hostel rooms are well-maintained and spacious. The girls' hostel has twenty seven (27) furnished rooms which are allotted to students on sharing basis. Laundry services are also available.

The newly built sports complex and a beautiful sports ground can potentially take anybody’s breathe away. The classrooms and buildings are designed remarkably with a central air-conditioning system and projectors. Every student also has access to the college’s Wi-Fi connection. For book lovers, there’s no place better than SRCC’s two-storey centrally air-conditioned library. The most impressive part is that the library is fully automated. In other words, all basic user services like book-issue, book-search etc. can be done through a computer. SRCC campus is also one of the few DU colleges which provide facilities like a swimming pool, gym, and parking space.

Even though Sri Ram Commerce College is best-known for its scholarly achievements, there’s more to it. The college ambiance is competitive yet peaceful and showcases a heavenly abode with immense greenery all around. Every food lover can find solace in Raju canteen’s Dosa, Irrfan uncle’s bhujiya patty, or Nescafe’s maggi. Crossroads, the annual fest of SRCC, is one of the most happening fests of the country. Renowned artists like Guru Randhawa, The local train, Salim Sulaiman, and Prateek Kuhad have embraced the college campus with their performance. Business Conclave is another event that invites global attention. SRCC has many societies that gift a person precisely what he/she needs to be successful- confidence, good communication, corporate experience, and leadership skills. Enactus SRCC, The Dramatics Society SRCC, Finance and Investment Cell (FIC), and the Economics Society are a few popular ones.
