My Complete 1st Year Experience at TIET

Overall Rating
My overall experience in Thapar University was quite wholesome and quite new for me in the beginning. I've loved almost everything about the college; waking up early to get breakfast and going to the library to study (Nava Nalanda Library) or going for a walk on skywalk, I have liked everything here.
 

Academics Rating
You need 97 percentile in JEE mains to get CSE or COE here. But branches like ECE are easily available at 91 percentile. This is for the outside Punjab General category people. I joined Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology because I had been visiting this campus since 2013.
 

Faculty Rating
Our faculty is really good at their jobs. All the professors are very well learned and wise people. The lab assistants and the tutorial teachers too are very decent at their jobs. Mostly, all the professors are from some IITs or some Ivy league college. So, you're in the best hands here.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are really good here and mostly all the students get on-campus placements. Last year's average package was 18 LPA and the highest was 50 LPA for COE branch.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel life is just great. It’s one of the best things that have ever happened to me.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is really good here. The Nava Nalanda library, the skywalk, the COS supermarket, Nirvana park, Jaggi shakes, etc. are great. All these make our campus so much prettier. My best time pass is just sitting in the Nirvana park.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is pretty decent here. I was able to socialise easily and make friends. But it's easy for everyone here to make friends, it’s all about the good vibes. We have societies, clubs, chapters, etc. of different interests for students to be engaged in something or the other.

    Overall experience at Thapar University is a mix of different emotions. One faces many new experiences and a change in lifestyle is definitely observed but the societies at Thapar University makes it easier for the first year students to have a smooth shift.
