The college has a great location and past. It is located in Chandigarh which provides a beautiful surrounding and atmosphere. Being a JEE student, You would always like to have a good college to complete your B.Tech degree. PEC, Chandigarh is considered better than even many NIT's and IIT's which made me choose this college. Though its NIRF ranking has gone down in past few years due to its bad infrastructure but still it has huge potential. Anyone choosing this college will get a good campus exposure and opportunities.

The procedure to enter in this college is based on JOSSA and CSAB counseling done after you’re JEE. The cutoff vary for different branches, the CSE branch for outside State usually closes near to 12k Rank in 2023. There is 50% Quota for Home state students, rest is usually similar like any other B.Tech institute.

So, The Faculty members of the college are qualified and knowledgeable. You will find many Professors to be good enough and you may get impressed by them. On the other hand, many will not meet your expectations. Few are very strict in nature and I will suggest you not to misbehave with any of them. The course is well planned for the students to make them industry ready and now many new courses have been introduced. If we talk about relevancy of the course than it will vary according to your own perspective for me it is near about 75-85%.

Yes, The College has its own placement cell - CDGC. A good CGPA increases your chance to sit for more companies at the time of placement. The Job opportunities are quite good and many good companies like Apple, Amazon, Google, Infosys, and Goldman Sachs recruit student from the campus. In 2023, the Placement stats were very good and the median package for branches like CSE and ECE was near to 18 LPA. This year it has gone down due to various reasons in almost all colleges. Student can even look for off-campus placements but should not expect any help from the side of college in this particular case.

You will find 4 Hostels for Boys and 2 Hostels for Girls inside the Campus. The infrastructure of the hostel is in bad condition. You can't expect much in this case. Surely you will enjoy with other students and the campus is ragging free. Student Committee is formed to look after various issue of hostel and mess, the selection will be based on interview basis. Food quality of mess is usually good in the beginning. The hostel fees is quite high almost 81,000/- for 2023-24 batch. Mess Charges will be separate and on monthly basis. PG facilities are also available near to the college which is cheaper than that of hostel.

There are different academic blocks inside the college but you will not be happy by its infrastructure. The current infrastructure needs some renovation. There are different labs, projectors and other facilities which usually colleges have. ECE Department has a Semiconductor research lab of its own. You will find Swimming Pool, GYM, and almost all type of sports facilities in the campus.

I like the Campus life of the college. It has a good atmosphere. PEC Fest is the largest fest of the college conducted every year in month of November. The clubs and societies are really great and will provide you with many opportunities if you really want to learn something. I like the part of the college that responsibilities related to clubs are mostly handled by the students.
