Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology

Overall Rating
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is a top ranked college with a huge infrastructure. It is one of the best Engineering colleges in India. The placement rate is above 85%. It provides great opportunities in every field. The average package is 12.5 LPA. This college provides multiple courses and subjects.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility criterion to get admission in this institute is that one has to pass the 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks in aggregate of these three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. There are two modes of admission, either through JEE or through 10+2. Although the cutoff is a bit high but the no. of seats are increased every year. You should enroll here for the betterment of your life and for good placements of course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly educated. Almost every teacher has done their Ph.D in their respective subjects. Most of the faculties have studied from IIT. They teach from PPTs and slides through projectors. The teachers have done many research and some have also written research papers. Although, they don't care much if you are studying in class, but if you ask doubts they will help.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell at our institute and it helps a lot during interviews. The placement rate is high and top recruiters come to this college. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys, Microsoft, Wipro, etc. visit here every year.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are great. There are 8 girl’s hostels and 9 boy’s hostel’s. A variety of food is served with good quality. Sweets are given every day. The hostels have ACs in the rooms. Some hostels have common washrooms, while others have attached. Laundry facilities are also available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology have specialized and well equipped laboratories. There are AC classrooms with Wi-Fi present everywhere in the campus. This college has a large library with an iconic structure. There is a complex present this university which has cafes, salon, stationary shop, departmental store and a huge open air theatre.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at T.I.E.T. is awesome. This college has a cricket ground, tennis court, basketball ground, badminton court, swimming pool, etc. There are many societies for students to pursue their interests and hobbies. Many events occur where famous people like Mohit Chauhan, Gajendra Verma, Zakhir Khan, Ashneer Grover, Rajat Chauhan, Ritviz, etc. have visited during the events.
