IMT Ghaziabad is definitely a goldmine and for those who doubt can check the rankings. IMT Ghaziabad has been ranked among the top-10 B-Schools in India ever since the ranking system has been introduced. Student’s intake every year is over 600 but the college has the enough infrastructure and resources to make sure the students who stay at the campus feel home here. IMTG is definitely the best choice for students who want to make a career in Finance. Even Marketing and HR are renowned but for PGDM (Finance) the college is ranked best to none in the country. You can weigh in all the options that are there in this review and you will know that after IIMs, IMTG is the best B-School in the country. The club committee culture of IMTG is highly active. Every day we will have some events lined up and even if I on the other side that is enjoying the event from the crowd, I still loved it.

One needs to understand that MBA is hardly of classroom learning as most of the learning happens outside of the classroom. IMTG is known for giving the best exposure to the students as IMTG students participate in various competitions all throughout the year. Many events are also won by IMTG students leaving behind the IIM students at national level. The academic ecosystem at the campus was such that we never felt like leaving the classrooms or the campus even for a minute.

For finance student, the faculty was the best. Other than full-time professors, we also had many visiting professors from some of the top B-Schools of the country. Even corporate leaders like Anand Mahindra and Ratan Tata have come and gave us lectures on some topics. The best thing about the faculty here was they were easily accessible. Not all of them but definitely most of them were always ready to help students out in whatever way they wanted them to.

If one think that placements of IMTG can be compared with IIMs then sorry. The placements are little lower than that of IIMs but definitely the second best after IIMs for sure. Over 100 companies come for interview and it depends on students on how they take them. There’s a fight for the placements and trust me sometimes the fight can be little hard that is what it is. All in all, you will not have one complain regarding the placements and that is that you got lesser opportunities.

The girls’ hostel of the campus was exceptional and a new one with double the capacity was getting ready. Girl’s hostel was right next to the boy’s hostel but nor the girls or the boys were allowed inside each other hostel buildings. There was a common area between both the hostels and there was no restriction of having a conversation with your friends from opposite sex over there at any point in time. The boys enjoyed a much better curfew time but for girls 9 pm was the deadline and there was no way one can break rules at IMTG. Food was so great that I just went out for dinners out only once in a month. Fees is slightly higher but who cares when you get such facilities.

IMT Ghaziabad campus is big and gates follows the garden on either side and road takes us directly to our admin block. The admin block had classrooms which were so neat and technically equipped that you can literally become slaves of technology. The auditorium room needs a very special mention as it had some of the most high-profile celebrities of the country as their guests. Many celebrities have come there to promote their films while many companies have done their product launch at our auditorium. Famous writer Chetan Bhagat was a regular as not just his book launch but being an MBA student himself he gave us his thoughts on what management students can do or achieve. The administrative offices and faculty cabins were like corporate cabins. The campus was fully Wi-Fi and one can have access to internet till the end of both the gates. The library was two floors and was stacked with 1 lakh books for sure. An infrastructure that can be boast of all day long is what IMTG infrastructure is made up of.

The club culture at IMTG was amazing but probably lesser than from my last college. I was given opportunities to bring in my inputs in most of the things as I was considered a pro in club. Life at IMTG was learning, having fun, dancing to the tune of MJ, and if that’s not than bringing out all the emotions out of me while leaving the campus with tears in my eyes and heart as heavy as a rock.
