MBA provides placement but getting an entry to the top MBA college is one of the most daunting tasks. My final year of graduation was spent preparing for the entrance and those who wish to be here or at even higher ranked B-School will have to give up on a lot of his/her wishes. MAT score of 550+ is at least as even that is not enough. The college calls upon some of the smartest people in the country to interview us and impressing them is never easy. After all this when you reach at IMTG, you will be like at least now I can relax. I am sorry but you are wrong again because you will always be on your toes till the time you complete the course. If classes are done, you will have to form a group and finish the assignments. If one case study is done, you will be given an even tougher case study to solve. All this would never end until 2 long years and at some point, you will feel that this is probably more than I can take.

Classes of 6-8 hours I was used to. However, at IMTG be prepared for classes up to 10 hours or beyond. Yes, there are in between breaks but 8 am to 4 pm in the classes and sometimes even till 7 pm was tiring. Plus, the classes are not the whole thing as you will have weekly assignments and your professors will always put fire on your tail to finish them. Going for industrial visit twice in a semester and a 2 months internship were also a part of program and we wished that those trips happened more often.

Faculty can help you as much as you want them to. They won’t stop or shy away from helping the students but for that you will have to reach out to them. If you are thirsty, you will have to go to the well, the well won’t come to you. It’s as simple as that because not just they took the lectures properly but even in practicals and assignments we had a significant help from our faculties. I would consider myself lucky as they even helped me during the placements.

Don’t even feel like mentioning the companies that came or the kind of placements that IMTG provided. It’s because they were simply best to none and of course I am not comparing it to higher ranked institutes but in Delhi/NCR, IMTG had the best placements.

The college has a girls and a boys hostel inside the college and one hostel was around 3kms from the college. The new hostel is getting ready and once that’s ready, no one will have to stay outside the campus as the program is a residential program and you need to stay at the campus to keep up with the course. Sitting with PG aspirants who are intended to do big things in life was a great setup to be a part of. The girls and boys hostel had the similar facilities as both were air-conditioned and had a mess that served nice food. I was quite happy with the hostel as I reside in NCR but could go home twice in a month as even on Sundays, I was not free.

Campus is large and facilities are larger than life. Technically the most advanced campuses that you will see. During events and competitions, we went to many B-Schools of the region and one can see it themselves that IMTG has the most advanced and the best infrastructure. Analytics is what I was good at and to make sure student interested in analytics have a dedicated lab, the college has built a smart lab that had the latest PCs and the one that had all the tools to learn analytics. Other than this there were few more labs like the financial lab, media lab and others. A conference room with all the latest features was available at the campus and was used widely as all our events and guest lectures would happen there. Outside world remained outside for two years because if we were bored of mess food, the college has a nice canteen that served other than the ones that were served in our hostel mess.

Staying among the smartest people is always tricky. You have to pick and choose your words as you can’t say all that you need. The college has some clubs who tried all that they can to engage students but I rather stayed away as I wasn’t that smart to manage both. Campus life was good but was tiring at the end.
