My overall experience was great, and I don't think I would have made a better choice. I chose Manipal Institute of Technology for the facilities that each department here had and for the experiential learning it offered. Unlike other institutes, studying at MIT Manipal was never about theoretical knowledge alone. All the important courses were linked to labs so we could apply what we learnt in theory to practice.

I've taken up the Aeronautical Engineering course at Manipal Institute of Technology, the main campus. The first year, like every other institute, involved basic subjects like chemistry, biology and other subjects to ensure we had the basic foundations of all departments and therefore knew what we were getting into. The third semester was when my branch subjects actually started. Important courses like Aerodynamics, design, structures, propulsion and avionics are covered as a part of the course curriculum. To get into B.Tech Aeronautical, students are expected to qualify their 12th with good grades and get a good rank in the entrance test conducted by MIT.

The faculties at MIT Manipal are well qualified. Most of them either already hold doctorates or are currently pursuing one as they teach. They are highly skilled and professional. They constantly have themselves involved in academic research in their domains of interest. So, all the professors have a good number of research papers already published and motivate students to join them and therefore learn from their research quests.

We do have a Placement Cell that invites numerous companies to visit our campus for both internships and placements.

The hostels present are way better than any other hostels I've seen or heard of. They contain all the basic amenities expected from a student. They are neatly maintained and taken care of by the caretakers.

The campus has a lot of amenities available throughout. There are multiple academic blocks for students to attend their everyday lectures. There's a huge library where numerous books and publications that are useful to students are present. Students can either choose to study and return them immediately or borrow them for a couple of days. This is very helpful since purchase of these can be really costly. There are multiple labs and eateries present. The classes either have ACs or are centralized.

Manipal Institute of Technology undoubtedly has the best campus life among all institutes across India. This is majorly because of the fact that Manipal is a small town that is majorly filled by students studying in various institutes across MAHE, so the environment is always great and vibrant. Campus life isn't as restrictive, we have a better in-time for hostels and academic timings are also relaxed. We also have a cultural and technical fest every year where top artists come to entertain and it's a lovely experience overall.
