Overall Rating
University is good as there is no unnecessary chaos nearby and it feels soothing. Maybe the infrastructure is nice. I particularly chose Assam University as it was nearby to my hometown. However, the bus services are quite good tough. Every weekend there is a bus for students to carry them to their particular destination.
 

Academics Rating
For getting into B.Pharm, all you have to do is to give CUET exam and get good grades. If you are selected then HOD Sir will call you personally or maybe sometimes office staffs. The admission process is done online. In addition, If you ask about the exam frequency the exams in Bachelor of Pharmacy department is quite frequent before finals there will be two sessional examinations. As the academics are challenging and we have to be, consistent so it teaches us to be more disciplined and consistent towards our daily lives and how to deal with tough situations.
When I have taken admission, the admission fee for a year was approx. Rs. 44,000 and the course is total of 4 years so you can calculate the total amount. However, from last year the fee has raised upto Rs. 66,000 per year. The total fee includes everything and no extra fees to be paid. After you, take admission there are variety of government scholarships available maybe sometimes private scholarships also, you can participate, and if you are selected good for you.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are quite strict but knowledgeable. They are truly determined to what they are doing and with full sincerity. They use PPTs, blackboards, etc. The problem solving abilities of teachers are remarkable as they are always ready to know about your confusions and help you. I have good bonding with some teachers but some teachers are quite strict. There are many teachers for each and every subject but not too many
 

Placement Rating
I am in 4th semester, so I have no idea about placements. Probably 8th semester students get the opportunity to get the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Assam University has hostels for both boys and girls. There are many hostels and many students stay there. Yes, girls’ and boys’ hostels are separate and quite at distant from each other. As I do not stay in the hostel, I do not know properly though I have listened the fees are reasonable and the food quality is also quite good. Hostels timing is 9 PM at night but during any program, it may change.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is quite nice bu. There are many campuses and the university has the spread in approx. 600 acres, which is the highest. There are all facilities regarding library, seminar hall, Labs, auditorium, conference hall etc. There are many canteens inside university along with health centre, transport, security for students. The university has students from different part of country, which is sometimes interesting.
 

Campus Rating
As I have just passed almost 2 years, it was quite fun as there were party nights, events for different occasions, celebrations, everything which is exciting. There are many clubs sports club, photography club, etc. is still not the part, but soon I will be the part of sport club. Fests and events are very frequent which is very useful as the students gets to relax from their daily routine and study pressure. The experience in last 2 years is quite nice.

    Assam University in short AUS is a central government university run by the Indian government. It has a very beautiful campus but according to me many central universities have better campus then this. So I’ll suggest you to only come if you don't have any better campus. The campus is green but not cleans, and especially if you are not from Barak Valley the food here will also irritate you and that is for sure.... Read Full Review
