Overall Rating
My experience at Chandigarh University has been mostly good. I got to learn a lot during my time here, both from classes and from people around me. The environment is student friendly and there are many opportunities if you are ready to grab them. I chose this University because of the fame of the Pharmacy course offered here and also because it's located near my home town. The placements, infrastructure, and campus life were also major reasons behind my choice. I also checked reviews before joining, and most of them were positive.
 

Academics Rating
I'm doing B.Pharm because I'm interested in Medicines and the Healthcare field. I chose this course to make a career in the Pharmacy industry. To get admission, you need to pass 12th with PCB or PCM and at least 50% marks and counseling -- no tough process. In this course, we have 2 MSTs, sectionals and final exams in each semester. Practicals are also part of it. The subjects and practicals we study help in understanding the real work of the pharmacy field.
My B.Pharm fees is Rs. 2,46,000/- per year, so I pay around Rs. 1,23,000/- per semester. I received a 25% scholarship (around Rs. 36,000/-) in the first year based on my CUCET score. Scholarships here are mainly given through CUCET, not on 12th marks. To continue the scholarship in second year (3rd semester), students need to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in the 2nd semester. If you keep CGPA above 7.5 in every semester, the scholarship continues in the next one as well -- it works semester by semester.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the teachers in our course are well-qualified and have good subject knowledge. Some have done M.Pharm and Ph.D too. Few of them also have experience from Pharmacy industry. Teaching method includes PPTs, whiteboards, practicals, and sometimes group discussions too. Important topics are explained in detail and extra help is given if needed. Faculty is usually supportive and helps in solving doubts. You can approach them after class or during practicals.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our University has a proper Placement Cell that helps students in getting jobs and internships. The cell arranges training sessions, mock interviews, resume writing workshops, and even helps with soft skills. For pharmacy students, companies mostly visit in the last year. Some renowned companies like Cipla, Mankind, Sun Pharma and Dr. Reddy's have also visited the campus.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Hostels are separate and inside the campus. There are many rooms available-- single, double and triple sharing. Each room has basic facilities like bed, table chair, cupboard and Wi-Fi. Washrooms are attached in most rooms. For fun, there are common rooms, TV, indoor games, and some cultural activities too. The mess food is okay -- sometimes good, sometimes average. Food is given 3 times a day and hygiene is mostly maintained.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The University campus is big and well-planned. There are separate academic blocks for different courses. The B.Pharm block has classrooms, labs, faculty rooms and seminar halls with fully AC installed. Classrooms are spacious with projectors and whiteboards. Seating is comfortable and good for around 60-80 students per class. We have a central library with good books and a digital section. Pharmacy labs are well equipped for practicals like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry as well as Organic Chemistry.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at Chandigarh University is overall fun and active. The University crowd is mixed- students come from all over India and even other countries, so you get to meet all types of people.
There are many student clubs like cultural club, drama, music, dance, tech clubs, and even pharmacy related groups. I'm not a part of any club yet, but many of my friends are, and they enjoy it a lot.

    My experience at Chandigarh University is wonderful and memorable. It focuses more on practical and that doesn't mean it avoid theory, it balance the theory and practical. For a Law student, it's necessary that there is practical exposure with theoretical knowledge.     I chose Chandigarh University because of the reputation it holds. The campus is really huge, and infrastructure is top notch. Each and every facility is available in the campus.     Here, campus life is too good for students. They organize many events for the students’ development. There is a balance between studies and co-curricular activities. Clarity of concepts is given by the faculties by which they stand out from others. Also, the teachers have a good teaching experience.
