LPU Jalandhar Offers 55+ Courses Across Various Streams

The main attraction of LPU Jalandhar is its infrastructure. The campus includes various buildings for all sorts of needs from the perspective of a student; in short it is a mini city. The faculty and students come from all parts of India and outer countries as well, providing a sense of diversity for everyone to learn about different cultures and explore their area of interest alongside their particular area of study. The campus provides opportunities for students to grow in all perspectives, be it in corporate profession, abroad opportunities, sports, career or excelling in Government exams.

There are more than 55 courses available and I am a student of B.Tech CSE and this course provides different variations such as specializations in Full Stack, Data Science, Cloud Computing and other niche as per the career growth in today's date. To be eligible for this course one should be from Science background and clear the University test which goes by the name of LPUNEST. The admission process is very seamless as you are guided by the admission counsellor throughout the whole process. For exams, we have 3 Continuous Assessment in one semester plus one mid-term which is mostly objective based and lastly, end terms which is a mix of subjective and objective questions.

Fee structure is simple and changes in every two years. You can see current one on the official website. Apart from that you can get scholarship of up to 50% based on multiple criteria such as your JEE score, LPUNEST score and that Scholarship will be applicable for you for all the semesters. Maximum people can achieve up to 30%.

Faculty usually holds a Ph.D. degree or at least a Master’s degree which makes them experienced and reliable in the matter of academics. Apart from that, all of them are approachable and are even ready to guide you through your academics or external projects which may include patent or any ventures. For teaching purpose, they generally use PPTs and whiteboards and also circulate the documents over the portal for students to prepare for theirs exams. Most of them help with the doubts with their own tricks and tips.

There is a whole building dedicated for the Placements at LPU Jalandhar where they organize workshops and classes which goes by the name of PEP classes to prepare the students for all the rounds of Placement drive which includes aptitude test, group discussions, verbal ability test and mock interviews. These are mandatory classes for a Placement enrolled student to prepare for the drive. Apart from that they also help you prepare for Government exams by arranging extra classes such as Banking PO, etc. And the University maintains Placement percentage of 95% at least.

Residential facility is safe and secure especially for girls as there are numerous guards allocated and there are wardens too, for regular inspections. Food quality is decent in the hostel and there are numerous plans which you can opt for such as Northern or Southern cuisine and 3 meals a days or 4 meals a day. Rooms and food, both are decent and hygienic. Hostel fees and food fees are different but you can opt for the room type and payment varies accordingly like Rs. 1,00,000/- a year or so. Hostel rules are strict and if not followed, fines are imposed.

Campus contains more than 55 buildings which has nearly 8 floors each. Other than that we have our own mall, hospital, hypermarket and different food courts. Apart from that we also have one food canteen and tuck shop for stationery in almost all the building for the convenience of the students. We have central library with all the necessary books and an IOS lab for students to use in case they want to learn swift language.

Overall, LPU Jalandhar's campus has all the resources one can use from infrastructure to opportunities. However, there might be minor issues due to number of students and request processing, but the management is getting faster day by day. The campus also provides indoor stadium and Archery ground for various sports and encourages student to participate. The campus also has different clubs for cultural activities, entrepreneurship for student to participate and even organize events for that matter to learn, grow and explore their area of interest outside the academics boundaries. University also organizes Annual Fest named as ‘Spectrum’.
