'Moksha' is an Annual Cultural Fest of NSUT New Delhi

My overall experience at the University has been decent for me. The academics as well as infrastructure are great. The only downside is the attendance criteria, which is 70% per subject and is imposed very strictly, which reduces the flexibility of the course.

The academics at the University are top-notch. One can enroll in the course with the scores of CUET PG test. The syllabus is designed in a way that it covers not only literature but also linguistics and teaching aptitude as well. The only drawback is that the syllabus feels too vast and heavy to be covered in merely 4 months, which is the duration of one semester. Moreover, students are continuously assessed by mid-semester exams (after 1.5 month), internal assessment, and end semester exams that helps us to evaluate our own position in the literature this course.

The fee for this course is paid yearly at start of each year. As the duration of this course is of two years, students have to pay at the start of first and third semester. The fee at the current moment is Rs. 50,000/- for first year and Rs. 55,000/- for second year.

Most of the faculty is pretty well versed in their area of expertise. Many of them hold a Ph.D degree as well. They also give personal attention to each student and every doubt is addressed, as there are only 30 students in one class. Tutorial classes are conducted as well where we can discuss doubts, do writing practices, and perform other such tasks. In addition, most of the teachers are approachable if one needs to seek guidance.

The Netaji Subhas University of Technology New Delhi has very great infrastructure. The washrooms are hygienic and have basic amenities. The classrooms are equipped with fans and ACs. There are hostel facilities. It has one canteen and two other outlets i.e., ‘Nescafe’ and ‘Mother Dairy’ where one can enjoy a variety of food options. The sports ground is well maintained. There are multiple seminar halls ans labs. We have one specific lab for English as well.

Exposure with other departments is a bit less in this course apart from Psychology department but there is an English Society. Other seminars are held based on topics regarding our interest and course conducted by the department. Lastly, we do have ‘Moksha’, an annual fest that one can attend to make the most out of one's campus life.
