Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance: Admission 2024, Fees, Scholarship, Pune

The foundation stone of the Symbiosis School of Banking and Finance was laid in the year 2010 as a constituent of the Symbiosis International University (Deemed University). The vision of SSBF is to nurture international understanding through providing quality education. It aims at incorporating values among the students such as promoting ethical and value-based learning, inculcating creativity, fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing employability, widening the perspectives, and many more.

A 2 years Full Time Post Graduation in MBA (Banking and Finance) is offered at the institute.

The institute believes in providing an environment to the students that maintains a balance between Academia and Extracurricular. For that purpose many student committees have been set up at the institute such as Institute of Social Responsibility, Corporate Interface Team, Creative Committee, Entrepreneurship Cell, Editorial Committee, Equity Research Cell, Website Committee, Co-curricular Committee, Student Council, etc.

The candidates who have completed their Graduation from any recognised University / Institution with a minimum of 50% marks (for the general category) or 45% marks (for the SC/ST category students) or equivalent are eligible to apply for MBA (Banking and Finance) Program at the institute.

Candidates that are willing to apply for the program must follow the steps mentioned below to register for the admission:

• The candidates have to first register for the SNAP Entrance Exam conducted by the institute. The link for the same is available at the “How to Apply” section in the “Programs” tab visible at the home page of the official website. The registration for the test would be finalised after fee payment for the entrance exam.
• The candidates have to simultaneously register online for the admission application form at the SSBF website and complete the fee payment for the application form.

*Note: The Admissions Application Forms are only visible on the website once the registrations are open. Also, no candidate can seek admission to the program without a valid SNAP score.

Once the candidate has registered and appeared for the SNAP Test, the selection is done on the following basis:

• Group Discussion
• Personal Interview (Work Experience and Academic Performance)
• Written Ability Test

After going through these 3 steps the final selection would be done on assessment of the candidate’s cumulative performance.

*Note: The candidates who hold a qualifying degree from any Foreign University are expected to obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All the admissions of International Students are handled by the International Office at the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE).

Under the leadership of Symbiosis International University, a Post Graduate Merit Scholarship is offered by the SSBF. The student that has received the title of topper for academic excellence and maintains a minimum GPA of 7.5 in a particular semester would be offered a scholarship in the form of 50% fee concession of the academic fee of that particular semester.
