Vishwakarma Institute of Technology: Review

Overall Rating
Best college life that I experienced after my junior college. Placements are very good at VIT. Syllabus of the college is up to date and college timings are also balanced. A lot of companies visit the campus for placement.
 

Academics Rating
I am enrolled in the ENTC department. The eligibility is as per the MHTCET CAP rounds. The cutoff for this branch was 97+ percentile for year 2023. I personally was not interested in coding, I have tried it for some time but it was hard for me to learn it. I was interested in electronics more, so took an admission in this course.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are really helpful in each and every step. All of them are highly qualified and most of them are Ph.D holders. I do not have any complaints for the faculty members. There teaching style is good. They use projectors for making the topics more interesting.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, college has a placement cell. As I am studying in first year, I don’t know a lot about the cell but I have heard that it is good. All branches have a very good placement. As the highest package was 44 LPA for 2022 and 41 LPA for 2023, average package is also decent at 8 LPA. Placement percentage is above 90% for all branches.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, college has Hostel facility. Hostel are decent but would recommend renting a room or taking a PG nearby because the college hostel is almost 3km away from the college. Transport facilities or bus are not available here. Hostel is good with big room and basic facilities. Food at mess is not good. It’s just tasteless and spicy food. Washing machines are also available in the hostel. For students there are games like table tennis. Wi-Fi and common TV space is also available. The hostel staff is also very friendly.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College has a small campus. It has all the required things in campus or nearby only. The campus has canteens that offer fresh and quality food. College has a small boat club also and some floors are reserved for student’s activities only like drawing, singing, dancing and event planning. Different branches have different buildings and different floors. College has an open area and small ground where most of the events are organized. Overall campus is small but well structured.
 

Campus Rating
College has a crowd from all over India. The atmosphere in the campus is best. The interaction among them is excellent. VIT has a good college life because of his students only. There are many clubs which are run by students only. There are clubs for every domain. There are in total 100+ fests all small and big (Vishwakarandak, vishwatechspectra, Melonge) fests. There are many competition, extracurricular activities and hackathons that are organised by the students and college.

    To start with a summary of VIT Pune, I feel that it is definitely a place that everyone should consider while studying for MHT CET.     VIT is a very good college for placements and infrastructure. The teachers are better but the syllabus is amazing. It is different from other colleges and my experience here was very good.     Overall Rating
    After merger of two Institutes, VIIT (VIT Kondhwa) and VIT Pune, this became easier for me to get admission in Tech branches. In other branches also faculty members are well experienced and the curriculum is well designed after the merger of both Institutes. For CS and CS related branches almost same syllabus is there.
