NIRF raking is 92 in 2024. 55-60% students are from other states. Campus size is around 350 acres. Placements are good. Hostel facilities are good. Library is good. College life is better now compared to previous years since director has been changed. Cultural activities, clubs, events, and sports tournaments are frequent. Overall it is a good college. I’m Electronics and Communication Engineering student. Both IT and core placements are good.

I got 45,535 All India Rank in open category. In JOSAA NIT Silchar EE was allotted to me but I wanted to pursue my graduation in Electronics and Communication Engineering. So I opted for CSAB and then I was allotted NIT Agartala ECE. Fee varies around 68,000/- to 75,000/- per semester for general category students. 5, 00,000/- for entire four years. Fee varies according to the reservation a student holds.

Faculty is good. They teach really well, they teach in English only so that students from other states feel comfortable. Some faculty even guides us through GATE preparation. Few faculties help us to do research and build projects. They’re very supportive and cooperative. We can contact them whenever we want. They suggest us books to read. Students can be comfortable with them. But we shouldn’t mess with them.

Placements for ECE branch are good. Average package is around 13 LPA in 2023. But it may decrease a little due to recession. Companies like Texas Instruments, Muisigma, Reliance Industries, Airtel, Bharat Petroleum, McKinley, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, etc. visit our campus. Few seniors take mentorships and guide us through the placement procedure. Placement cell works really good and their efforts need to be appreciated. They have conducted aptitude mock tests to ensure everyone is comfortable during placement procedure. Mock interviews were also taken to make us confident.

Hostel is not so good. There is no generator in the hostel. It is difficult for students during online exams and online interviews. Wi-Fi is now extended from 1Gb to 2Gb per day. But lot of students face connection problem. Mess is not so good. People from other states face lot of problems due to taste of food. This happens only in girls mess. Boys have different types of mess like south mess, north mess, and north east mess. But such options are not provided in girls mess. There is no water problem in hostel. Only Fourth year students are provided with single rooms in girl’s hostel whereas in boy’s hostel, single rooms are provided to both third and fourth year students. There is no ragging in hostel. In girls hostel there is no lift facility. Hostels are hygienic. We have a study table, one cupboard, chair, fan and two beds in a room. Even days scholars are not allowed inside the hostel premises.

Campus infrastructure is good. It is a beautiful campus with lot of trees around. Central library has around 80,000 books. Medical unit is active 24/7. Seminar hall, ATM, group discussion rooms and interview rooms are also present in the college. Sports complex is available with cricket ground, football ground, volleyball court, and badminton court. Gym for both boys and girls is made available in the college. Shopping complex is available for everyone to buy their necessities. Washrooms are good. Mess is hygienic. Garden area in hostel is so peaceful. 24/7 Wi-Fi is available around the campus. Laboratories are well equipped. Bus facility is provided to days scholars. Food canteens are available. City is not so far from college. Overall infrastructure is good.

NIT Agartala has different clubs. These clubs are monitored by students. We have coders club, dance club, space club, singing and music club, gaming club, E-cell, robotics club, etc. Students coordinate really well and run these clubs very successfully. Every year, we have technical fest and annual cultural fest MOKSHA. These fests are really interesting part of college life. Many events are also conducted here. Anyone can participate. Even students from different colleges take part in our fests. Music concerts, dj night, dandiya night, Ganesh festival, Diwali, Holi, etc. There is lot of unity among students. Atmosphere in college during events is so refreshing. Definitely one can have best college life experience in NIT Agartala.
