GLA University Mathura: An Overall Perception

Overall Rating
GLA University is an underrated and prestigious university where you can study in a highly efficient way. Be it any course like Law, Technical, Management courses, and more, you will get a highly productive learning environment with a lot of motivation. Since, this university is located in Mathura, your spiritual and philosophical or empathic approach will be developed, & you will be able to do every task with ease. This University's Law department organizes many moot court competitions and other events through which students would be able to develop much better legal aptitude skills, leadership qualities and many more.
 

Academics Rating
As far as my experience is concerned, I am Law student here and it has B.A.LL.B (Hons.), B.Com.LL.B (Hons.), and BBA.LL.B (Hons.). It accepts admissions through the CUET and its own eligibility exam, GLAET. The institute of Legal Studies and Research (ILSR), GLA University follows the trimester and semester systems both. For the better development, it is having Moot Court Committee, Legal Aid Clinic, and other research clubs, which are completely development oriented.
Total tuition fee is 7.50 Lakh for over 5 years. The academic fee for each year are as follows: Rs. 1,40,000 for the 1st year, Rs. 1,45,000 for the 2nd year, Rs. 1,50,000 for the third year, Rs. 1,55,000 for the 4th year and Rs. 1,60,000 for the 5th year. As far as discount is concerned, there is no provision for any sort of discount but yes, as per government scholarships scheme, students can apply for the same. Other than the tuition fees amount, initially you'll have submit some security amount as prescribed by the university itself and that amount shall be returned to you after the completion of your course.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is good here. All the Law and BA faculties are permanent here as of now. There is a pattern of teaching here. All the faculties are more likely to delve towards the PPTs for teaching. Faculties are more flexible here and approachable too as they are not rigid unlike the teachers used to be then. Here, in the GLA university, you will get to see that for every 5 or 6 group of students approximately from the same batch has been assigned with a mentor whose work is too solve the grievances of the students apart from studies.
 

Placement Rating
The rate of placement has been below than average. Gradually, the number of placed students is increasing.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels have good resources and overall a good infrastructure. There are gym in the hostels (in both girls’ and boys’ hostels), Wi-Fi and separate mess for girls and boys. AC/Non-AC rooms are available. In general, for the 1st year, there are 3 seater rooms available, 2 seater rooms are available for the 2nd year, and single seater rooms are available for the 3rd year and further higher years but for girls there are 3 seater rooms available for each year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university has an eco-friendly campus with having a green atmosphere. The overall infrastructure is good here with well equipped resources. There is various departmental building for diverse subject matters. There are various canteens and a full supermarket type complex for the necessities. For sports, there are playgrounds, courts for badminton, basketball etc. GLA's having academic facilities like libraries (both physical and E-libraries too), Auditorium, multiple seminar halls, conference halls, etc.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good here. Multiple fests are being organized here very often by multiple clubs and societies. Students can help the needy ones through a medium (an college based NGO called Udaan here. The Udaan works for teaching the poor children who reside in the nearby village areas and provide them resources for their development. It is having the clubs like NINAD club for the music, NATRAJ club for dancing, VIHITI club for acting and theatre related opportunities and Literario club for poetries. Students can also delve themselves in the NCC parades and all. Furthermore, they can volunteer in NSS too.

    The University are working on every aspect and the syllabus is good. One thing I really like is that the campus is near me. Another feature I liked is that they take codethon from the first semester itself. The crowd is also decent here.     The university academics is above average than other private institutes. The placement opportunities are also better; my university does not brag about the high packages but also provides them. I chose this university because others were very far from my hometown. The university provides industry-based training by companies.     I have completed almost 2 years at GLA University and I really feel good here. Faculty members, management staff, and even research scholars are helpful and help students as much they can. I have chosen this university because of its very well maintained infrastructure and laboratories, which helps students to excel in their particular field.
