IIIT Bangalore B.Tech Highest Package is 1 Crore Per Annum

IIIT Bangalore has good coding culture. Seniors are very chill and very helpful. There are multiple clubs, events, and activities to keep students engaged. Placements and mentorship are great. The infrastructure is nice and the mess food & gym are too good. Although, they should work on improving students ratio. I was into coding and the job security it offered that’s why I came here. It offers great exposure in CSE and industry. It is a tier 1 Engineering Institute.

The course curriculum is one of the main reasons why I chose this Institute. We are taught industry level subjects from 1st semester only like Coding Languages, Probability, Digital Design, Economics, etc. In second semester DSA, Computer Network, Comp Architecture, etc. are there. We are given opportunity from 3rd year to choose electives and we can also do a Minor / Honors in AIML / VLSI which provides a lot of flexibility to us in finding our interest and pursuing them. Our course is already one of the most advanced and best in CSE industry. We are also given group projects for corporate world knowledge. We have our exams frequently conducted in every 2 months and it may depend on faculty and the course. You will be assessed thoroughly in the exam and you need to understand the practical approaches.

The tuition fees for B.Tech CSE is Rs 2,30,000/- per year (Year 1 and 2) and Rs. 2,76,000/- per year (Year 3 and 4). Total fees for the duration of 4 years will be approximately Rs. 20,00,000/-, including the hostel and mess charges. This adds up to total of around Rs. 25,00,000/- for 4 years. They also provide you with medical insurance which was Rs. 2,000/- till last year and now its Rs. 3,000/- per year. We also need to give some caution deposit which is roughly Rs. 20,000/- and it is refundable at the end. There is no reservation policy so everyone has to pay the same amount. However, the Institute provides 2 scholarships to students, one is Utkarsha scholarship in which the top 5 rankers in JEE Main under CRL 999 will get 100% waiver in tuition fees. They also follow a Dean’s merit list scholarship in which some specific set of students are provided fees waiver of Rs. 50,000/- per year depending on the availability of funds and you need to have a CGPA of 3.6+/4 to be eligible for it.

The faculty to student ratio is very good. For every course, we almost have different faculties. They make sure that we understand that subject. The faculty support is very good & you can mail them and ask for help any time. All your doubts will be cleared. They mostly teach using PPTs and group discussions. Most of them are Post-graduated from reputed Institutions. The problem-solving ability of the faculty is excellent. They are knowledgeable in the subject that they teach. The bonding between the students and teacher is good and if you want to work in research, you can approach them. So overall, it’s a solid 8.5/10.

IIIT Bangalore has excellent placement drive. In the previous year, my branch’s median package was 28 LPA and this year its 34 LPA. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, etc. come and almost all the students get placed every year. So, if you want good placement, you should definetly join this Institute. This year, the highest package was 1.65 Crore Per Annum. Internship is guaranteed. Placement committee is very nice and they conduct mock interviews, pre-placement talks, and so on to make you job ready and get you placed.

The Institute provides residential facilities and it is compulsory for students to take hostel if you enroll here. For boys, we have 2 hostels inside the building. The first-year students are allotted triple sharing rooms in the campus hostel. For second year, there are some single and triple sharing rooms. For 3rd and 4th year students, all the rooms are of single occupancy. Girls’ hostel is different and they have only one hostel in the campus. The mess food is excellent and good quality. The food is tasty and hygienic & served 4 times a day. Hostel fee is about Rs. 40,000/- and mess fee is Rs. 29,000/- per sem. We have a curfew from 10:30 PM to 5:30 AM and we are allowed to break this curfew only 3 times in a month. My personal experience is good.

Previously, we had 2 academic blocks and now we have 3. They have hi-tech facilities and good infrastructure. The campus size is about 9-10 acres. The classrooms are spacious and we have different labs. Library is on a smaller scale and we also have an auditorium and few conference rooms. We have one tuck shop actually in the campus and online food delivery is accessible till 3 AM at night. Medical facility is available and a doctor comes 6 days a week. The Institute has a tie up with Kaveri Hospital nearby. Security is nice and in each hostel, you will see guards on floors, gates, and academic blocks. The infrastructure is undoubtedly too good.

We have decent campus life. We have an annual cultural fest that is ‘INFIN8’ and tech fest that is ‘SYNERGY’. We also have many sports fests like SPANDAN, UMANG, etc. There are many clubs in IIIT Bangalore which you can join. There are many competitions organised by the clubs and by participating you can eventually become a club member. Some common clubs are Zense (CSE Coding club), Camp ((Competitive programming), Symphony (Music club), Impulse (Dance club), Da Vinci (Art club), Photography, and many more. We also have an entrepreneurship club and E-cell. Our Institute has its own Incubation Center. The crowd is good and you will find people with same mindset.
