IIIT Bangalore Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Previously, we had 2 academic blocks and now we have 3. They have hi-tech facilities and good infrastructure. The campus size is about 9-10 acres. The classrooms are spacious and we have different labs. Library is on a smaller scale and we also have an auditorium and few conference rooms. We have one tuck shop actually in the campus and online food delivery is accessible till 3 AM at night. Medical facility is available and a doctor comes 6 days a week. The Institute has a tie up with Kaveri Hospital nearby. Security is nice and in each hostel, you will see guards on floors, gates, and academic blocks. The infrastructure is undoubtedly too good.

We have decent campus life. We have an annual cultural fest that is ‘INFIN8’ and tech fest that is ‘SYNERGY’. We also have many sports fests like SPANDAN, UMANG, etc. There are many clubs in IIIT Bangalore which you can join. There are many competitions organised by the clubs and by participating you can eventually become a club member. Some common clubs are Zense (CSE Coding club), Camp ((Competitive programming), Symphony (Music club), Impulse (Dance club), Da Vinci (Art club), Photography, and many more. The college occupies only a mere 7 acres, which a downside BUT it is located right inside India's first smart city - Electronic City. We are surrounded my Infosys on 3 sides, Siemens is just a Block away. WIPRO is 15 minutes walking distance from here. I can see all these cool looking buildings all around; the inside of the city is really clean and modern and green. It really boosts your mood with the fresh air and stuff. There are 2 academics blocks - Ramanujan and Aryabhatta, and 3 hostels Bhaskara, Lilavati, and Visveshwarya. This is adjacent to the academic blocks, which is a huge plus point. I sleep at 4 AM just like any normal engineering student and wake up at 9 AM and get dress and off I go to the Lecture at 9:15 AM after a 5 min. quick breakfast. Mess is great with 4 star hotel level foods everyday and a really good food committee and that keeps changing the menu every two weeks. We have a huge auditorium where we watch movies and sports (there will be like 20 people in this huge spacious thing, it's really cool to be in an AC hall watching films with your best buds at 12 midnight). Zomato and other stuff takes less than 20 minutes sometimes within 5 minutes since the city is a structured, which is another plus. I honestly love everything about the infrastructure, it's exactly what I wanted.

I thoroughly enjoy my life here. By that I mean both the highs and the lows. There have been moments where I felt I could not make it, and moments where I felt absolute gratitude what I have been able to do here. Going out to Bangalore, the occasional bunking classes for cinemas, celebration even though the crowd is very small and close. Those serious moments when you try to conduct and organise something in clubs, to those silly moments where you shove your friends face in cake for his birthday in the mess - it's absolutely awesome. Infrastructure was awesome and added that the campus looked even more beautiful with the pleasant weather of Bangalore. Along with scenic beauty, the campus had modern art as all the buildings were modern as digital locks, CCTV cameras, ECT enables classrooms and a digital library. In gist, the college has imposed all the possible technologies that one can in a college. I immediately fell in love with the college’s infrastructure as the indoor sporting facilities and beautiful canteen, which was our go-to place, were of unmatched quality. I have been to several other colleges, but no one comes close to IIITB in terms of infrastructure.

First of all, everyone was treated equally at the campus and there was no discrimination done based on the state they come from or the cast they belonged to. The college had a culture where every student would wish each other during the festivals, and college events were the best platform to showcase our technical and non-technical skills. One thing that I feel should be associated with campus life is that you should always miss it. I left the college nearly three years back, and to date, I dream of my days spent there.Read Full Review
