Also, it is mandatory for the students enrolling in the available residential programs at the University to avail its hostel facilities.
Multiple hostels like ‘Lilavati’, ‘Bhaskara’, and others are available at IIIT Bangalore which collectively comprises more than 700 fully-equipped rooms with accommodation capacity of 850+ students. Moreover, the IIIT Bangalore hostel rooms are offered to the students on single occupancy and triple sharing basis.
The respective authorities of International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore have specified a hostel fee for the students which should be paid by them in order to avail its world-class residential facilities. In addition to this, the per year IIIT Bangalore hostel fees for the students is Rs. 1,35,600/- (including hostel & campus facilities and food services charges).
* Students should note that along with the hostel fee mentioned above, they will have to pay a one-time caution deposit of Rs. 15,000/- which will be refunded after the course completion.

The IIIT Bangalore Campus consists of 1 girls (Lilavati) hostel and 2 boys (Bhaskara and Visveshwaya) hostels which are surrounded with scenic greens & enriching atmosphere and can accommodate more than 850 students, collectively. The IIITB hostel rooms comprise multiple basic facilities like bed, study table, cupboard, and others.
Moreover, the girls hostel, i.e., Lilavati has more than 179 rooms which are available on single occupancy and both the boys hostels collectively include 450+ (single) and 75+ (triple sharing) rooms. Also, the triple occupancy rooms within the Visveshwaya boys hostel have an attached bathroom as well.
Furthermore, separate gymnasiums for girls and boys namely ‘Calorie Bee’ and ‘Shape Up’ are present for the hostellers within the IIIT Bangalore hostels so that they can engage in regular workouts to keep their body physically fit, active, and healthy.

A common mess is present within the University’s premises which provide 4 meals to the hostellers per day including breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner. In addition, non-vegetarian meals are provided to the students 3 times a week. Also, Jain food is available within the mess.
Furthermore, the mess is equipped with sufficient seating arrangements and around 2 TVs so that residents can watch sports while enjoying their hygienically prepared & delicious meals.
