Life at MNNIT Allahabad

Overall Rating
After the JEE Mains exam, in which I got a decent rank I was able to get NIT with good branch. But I chose MNNIT, Allahabad because of many reasons: first is that it is near to my home, and second is that it has good placement review from seniors and YouTube. I got ECE branch which is good if I want to pursue ESE exam paper in future.
 

Academics Rating
My branch is Electronic and Communication Engineering. If your percentile in JEE Main is above 98.5 then you can easily get this. As India’s development is going and demand of semiconductor is increasing day by day and there are some good job opportunities in government sector also, so I decided to choose this branch. In MNNIT, experienced levels of professors teach, and new equipment is also available which make your life easy when you do your job after B.Tech industry.
 

Faculty Rating
In my opinion the level of teacher is decent. Professors are highly qualified who have published a lot of research papers every year. The style of teaching in MNNIT was not good enough to engage with the student rather they used PDF to read the theory and student spent more time for their self-studies which can be reduced if teachers teach in a good way.
 

Placement Rating
The placement of MNNIT is one of best in India. One of highest in median in NITs. Almost everyone is placed. The connection of college in terms of placement is very strong.
 

Hostel Rating
One the best hostels of MNNIT is SVBH. As this is a growing institute, the development of infrastructure is going on, but it is decent. Internet is good and we got almost 100Mbps speed.
 

Infrastructure Rating
MNNIT was built in 1961, it is very old NIT academy building but the development process is going on. In this year many new cafes and hostels were inaugurated, and more new buildings have been built but food quality was decent and internet facility is available everywhere in campus. Better roads are available in the college.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good. After the school when we go in colleges many things change such as no dress for class, mobiles are allowed. There are many fests organized by MNNIT. The culture fest is ‘Culrav’, and technical fest is ‘Aviskar’ in which other nit and college students show products. Coding culture of our college is best in India.

    The experience has been full of ups and downs. The academic curriculum and extra-curricular activities have taught me how to handle pressure and manage time efficiently.     MNNIT is a prestigious Institute. It was established in 1961. Being such an old institute it was really fascinating to join it. It was one of the first few engineering institutes in India and it was the first institute in India where Computer Science was introduced as a branch.
