MCKV Institute of Technology is one of the reputed private college in Howrah, West Bengal. This college is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and also it has autonomous body affiliated by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. This Institution is also approved by AICTE. National Board of Accreditation also visits in this institution and most of the departments are accredited by this.

In B.Tech candidate can get admission either by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or by All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). In case of diploma students they can get admission via West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET). MCKVIE provide 8 under graduate courses and 3 post graduate courses. This institution maintains a quality management in every phase like academics, administration, health centre, hostels and others.

Academic Section of MCKV Institute of Engineering is extraordinary. For the great management of all faculties the academic potion of this college is remarkable. As there are 8 undergraduate courses as I mentioned before and all the courses are fascinating. I choose Computer Science & Engineering. I got admission in this college through WBJEE and choose the CSE department for huge scope in future.

As the whole world is going to be computerized day by day so computer science of engineering is no doubt a great platform for the youths. In this field there is really a great opportunity to reach high. So these are the reason for joining this course. I can learn various computer languages like C, C++, Java, Python, etc. This course also make me know about data structure algorithm, cyber law, sensor network, software engineering and many more which really fulfill my all expectations. Except that there are many government jobs like cyber security, there are many web development jobs. So the range of jobs with this course is huge.

As I belong from the CSE department, there are 12 numbers of faculties in my course. In this college there are almost 100 overall faculties. Faculty from all of the department teaches with their potential and with proper guidance. Each faculty is very passionate with their job guide all the students very systematically. Average teaching experience of the faculties is 8-10 years which is great. Each and every faculty from all departments are very serious with their students, they encourage us in academic to cultural section, they encourage us in extracurricular activities to sports also. In every step in college life their guidance is really valuable for us.

All the teacher of this Institution is from highly academic background. Many teaching stuff have done B.E, M.E, B.Tech, M.Tech. Many of them have done their PhD and also many of them are pursuing for PhD. so overall qualification of all the teaching staffs are highly graded. Every faculties of my department are specialized on their own field and they teach us really great.

MCKV Institute of Engineering provides such a great placement and training. They are connected with the top companies and industries to provide a large number of jobs for the students. The network of this Institution is growing day by day with the leading companies through all over India. Our college arranges many seminars, webinars, invited lectures for more knowledge about the industry. They also arrange mock test for aptitude and others individual courses. College provides a separate counseling class.

Top companies like Amazon, BOSCH, Infosys, Cognizant, HCL, IBM, Hitachi Consulting, Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, etc. are visited in this college for recruitment purpose. Highest package of Rs. 8 LPA is and an average of Rs. 3 LPA package is provided. Almost 60% of my batch is already placed and the recruitment process is still going on.

Hostel facility of MCKVIE is also very comfortable. You will get well set up room with a canteen, attached bathrooms, high security and many others facility in each hostel which is remarkable. Hostel foods are also good quality and cheap in price. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls under a well management system. Hostel wardens are also very cautious and provide a safe environment. Hostel fees are also affordable for all. Fees structure is designed for every semester which is 1600 INR. Hostel canteen provides 4 times meal a day including morning breakfast then lunch, afternoon tiffin and finally dinner with a very cheap rate.

One can book hostel room as per their choice like 2 bed room or 3 bed room or maximum 4 bed room. Each hostel also provides a common room with many indoor games like table tennis, carom, chase, etc. All the hostels are cleaned and sanitized by the hostel staffs every day. There are 2 security guards and many CCTV cameras in every hostel for security purpose. After observing all the facilities from a clean environment, good quality food, well designed room, high security and separate set up for boys and girls, the hostel life is very enjoyable and secure.

MCKVIE is situated in core of the Howrah which is just 5 kms from Howrah station and almost 16 kms from Netaji Subhas Airport with covering a huge area. Lot of buildings, classrooms, laboratories, workshops, Hostels, Offices, Health center, Cafe, playgrounds, Gym are included in the campus. There are 3 auditoriums for important seminar, meeting and VIP lecture purpose. Also there are some medical stores, book and Xerox stores, ATM facility inside the campus.

MCKVIE provides 24*7 healthcare unit with expert doctors. Except that there are meditation hall room, Central library, Language and communication laboratory, healthy cafeteria, Fitness room, Student's common room and many others facility. There are separate playgrounds for different sports purpose. College organize inter college and intra college cricket and football tournament every year. Except that some minor tournament like volleyball, badminton, basketball are also held by this Institute. Each and every facility make the infrastructure of this college amazing.

According to me the overall campus life of my college is marvelous. Not only in academic section but we MCKVIAN also enjoy our campus life over the year. There are many programs, minor and major festivals, fests, cultural meet are organized by this institution. Beside sports there are lots of cultural activities of dancing, singing, recitation, drama fashion show, debate and many competitions are organized by this college, which make the campus life more beautiful. Many celebrities are also invited in the college fest every year.

There is MCKV Rotaract club whose mission and vision is to help our society by various types of social work like blood donation, tree plantation, free education for poor, donation of clothes and many more. MCKVIE organized a grand tech fest every year which name is TECHNOTICA-The In-House Innovative Project Competition. Lots of innovations, lots of models like robotics, circuit and other scientific projects are made by the college’s students. All students are participated in this grand tech fest to make the college profile high. Except that this Institution arranged one day seminar named SVCPT (Swami Vivekananda Centre for Positive Thinking) on behalf of Swami Vivekananda to motivate the young youths.
