My Life in IIT, Delhi

Overall Rating
The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi carries a great reputation with its name and the location is in the middle of South Delhi, which made me choose this institution. I have had a great experience here overall with the faculty, friends, hostel life, extracurricular activities and the ample opportunities present here. The overall campus life is great and the campus itself is really good too.
 

Academics Rating
IITs have a fairly direct admission procedure that is the clear JEE advanced and the counselling should be done through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Through my counselling I got into the Production and Industrial Engineering which is under the department of Mechanical Engineering. The other eligibility criteria is attaining 75% in 12th board exams and then basically your JEE Advanced rank determines your branch.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are really experienced, they are great researchers in their fields and have significant contributions in their respective fields. The professors usually are students of IITs and reputed foreign institutes themselves. The teaching curriculum mostly includes a lecture component, a lab component (in some courses) and some tutorial component.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell holds the on campus placements every year and many reputed companies come to the campus for recruitment like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Uber, and Jane Street etc. Mostly all students get placed from the on campus placements and the overall process is really smooth.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are mostly allotted to all students willing to get hostels in the B.Tech program, the hostel life is great, there are no restrictions on entry/exit timings and facilities are good too. All hostels have their own badminton court, volleyball court, pool table and table tennis etc. Mostly all sports equipment which is played is present in the hostel for anyone to use. Other than that there are Inter-Hostel competitions held in cultural and sport activities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The overall infrastructure in IIT Delhi is great. The lecture halls are really big, the department buildings (which are separate from the lecture hall complex) have all the labs for the department and the labs contain all the latest equipment. There are various eating spots all around the campus like a Nescafe, Cafe Coffee Day and Chaayos etc. The library also is great, contains a lot of books from all the various domains of study.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great especially because of the plethora of clubs we have here, like the Quizzing Club, the Literary club, the Debating Club, the Music Club, the Dance club and many other Cultural Clubs. Other than that we have various Technical Clubs like Robotics Club, Aeromodelling Club, and Axlr8r etc. We have our Annual Technical Festival, Tryst held in March every year and then we have our annual Cultural Festival held every year during October which is one of the biggest college fests in India.

    It is one of the best Institutes for Engineering courses in India. My personal experience at this Institute is has been great. Students can choose this Institute for various aspects like placements, sports, research work, innovative projects, etc. Being a graduate of this Institute automatically increases the worth of a student in the industry.   • 'Tryst' is an Annual Technical Fest of IIT New Delhi

    IIT New Delhi is one of the prestigious Institute. It has great academics, sports facilities, etc. The one think that I don’t like about this Institute is that the crowd is huge.     IIT Delhi is one of the top Institutes for Engineering in India. I chose this Institute because of its functions, events, alumni. Also, this Institute has made many unicorns which is not made by many Institutes. The most amazing thing here is that it has a counseling team and BSW (Board for Student Welfare).
