Pharm.D at HKES's Matoshree Taradevi Rampure Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Overall Rating
The experience in HKES's Matoshree Taradevi Rampure Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was good. The professors are well trained in their respective subjects and provide support in theory & practical as well. They also help in reference after the degree if we approach. The institute had all the facilities required for Pharm.D including labs, classes, smart boards, experimental labs, a tagged hospital, etc. The staff is also well trained and provides all the knowledge. The exams conducted are quite strict as it is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science.
 

Academics Rating
I got a government seat in medical college through KCET rank of around 19000 and the cutoff for previous year was 26000 , which made it easy to acquire a seat at this college. Exams are conducted once every year by the university. The exam required a 10+2 passing. The academics are good enough to prepare us for real life challenges but lag in few upgrading technologies that exist in the real world these days.
The fee that I paid was Rs. 24,000 INR for the first 3 years and Rs. 98,000 for next 3 years, including a year of internship. I did not have to pay any building fund, as mine was government seat. I also got a scholarship every year as an OBC in state scholarship (SSP) which covered 95 to 100% of my fee each year. And additional maintenance amount was provided by the government in some years
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty who thought us was all PhD holders or Pharm.D graduates making them well suitable for teaching the subjects. The method of teaching varied for each teacher and subject, as few of them opted for the traditional black board, few teachers used Ppts and visual methods, few teachers used smart board for teaching the subject. The teacher- student ratio is good and they appreciate and support students really well.
 

Placement Rating
There is no placement provided to Pharm.D students in HKES's Matoshree Taradevi Rampure Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
 

Hostel Rating
I did not opt for hostel so I cannot comment on the hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is small but has enough facilities like huge classrooms, labs, canteen, sports area, security, transportation, etc. The library has all the books required for the course. I liked the library most as it us quiet and good for students to study peacefully in the institute. Even the labs are good with pharmacology labs having each and every required for the campus. All the latest equipment required for the process is also there.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is small but has all the things required for study. Overall the city is safe for girls with helping natured people every. There are several fests celebrated at the institute with a minimal charge of around Rs. 200 to Rs. 300 per student. There are no clubs around the institute, which gives less distraction to the students.
