Review on Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

Overall Rating
It is the biggest IIT, The IIT Kharagpur. Top fifth IIT in India. And I am getting electronics branch in IIT Kharagpur. It is my best option that I am getting in top 7 IITs. And also the statistics for my college, placement offers, and internship opportunities are very good. In mine branch Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, almost everyone got placed.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission in IIT Kharagpur there are some requirements and eligibility criteria. First we have to clear JEE mains that is qualifying exam for JEE advance. After that we have to clear JEE advance and should have a good rank in JEE advanced to get admission in colleges like IIT Kharagpur. My motive for enrolment in this course to have a good life to have a good healthy and wealthy life.
 

Faculty Rating
As I am in first year I am not aware of my branch course because in first year students divided into section 1 to 20. 10 sections are of physics semester and other 10 of chemistry semester. And students divided randomly that means division are not based on branch or hall. Min. 4 to 5 students are of each branch. And also the faculties that taught us are very qualified and experienced. Their style of teaching is unique and interactive.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college provides placement but I have not exact idea of the data. I am in first year but I have read that for last year average package of IIT Kharagpur is Eighteen Lakh per annum and the highest package is 2.2 crore per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is also very good. There is one room over two students and rooms are well for two students. There are separate almaris for everyone. For bathroom, there is common bathroom for everyone and for cloth washing there is a separate room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of our college is very good. It is the biggest IIT of all IIT used to call Mother of all IITs. It has total campus area of total 2100 acres. That is equal to four to five villages. There are very beautiful buildings of every department. And hostel is look like five star hotels from outside. And in night the lights on roads makes it more beautiful.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is going very good at IIT Kharagpur. If talk about crowd, there is maximum crowd I think. In my hall we have accommodation of total two thousand students and there are total ten to twenty halls in our college. So there is lots of crowd. There are Many societies and clubs like e-cell business club, drama society, pravah encore, and fest society like khsitij, spring fest, and many more.

    IIT Kharagpur is one of the most renowned academic institutes in India. It has NIRF ranking of 5th in engineering category. It is one among the oldest IITs in India which makes it strong alumni network. The lush greenery campus with fresh air, away from city makes students life excellent.     Being from a middle class family I have dreamt about getting into this Institute from Class 11. I didn't get much exposure to Engineering before, so I was very much excited. It is one of the largest campuses having a jungle spread on half of its area. One will not get bored as there many things to do. On every weekend, there are some programs going on at Gymkhana.     I am very happy to have got into IIT KGP. It has got the largest campus among all the IITs; spread around 2200 acres of land. It is one of the top 10 IITs. The course I have chosen here is Industrial and Systems Engineering and it is offered by this Institute alone.... Read Full Review

    The overall experience e here is very good, as we live like a family here and the locals of the residential area inside the campus are very kind and polite. The Academics, Societies, Sports Facilities, extra-curricular everything is excellent here except few things for which you might have to compromise.     If I summarize my experience at IIT-KGP, it would be all about great memories. It is one of the oldest Institute of Technology in India and a very prestigious Institute.
