The overall experience at Christ University main campus, Bangalore is actually too good. The courses are very well designed. Apart from education it focuses on holistic development of an individual. Christ university teaches a lot to their children about the mission, vision and core values of the university. Christ has a lot of departments such as Commerce, Language, Media Studies, Psychology, Science and many more. It provides a lot of diversity and inclusivity. I chose this institute because I wanted to experience and learn new things that Christ University offers. It offers great chance to network with people across the country. The beauty of the campus is exhilarating and eye catchy.

My course B.Com (Hons.) with Research comes under the Department of Commerce at Christ University. The course is designed in a very good and informative way. It helps in expanding our knowledge to all the sections of commerce including Finance, HR, Marketing, etc. My motive for enrolling for this program was to expand my knowledge on the subjects of commerce and not restrict myself to one area by taking specialization program. The eligibility for B.Com (Hons.) program is passing the 10th and 12th board exams. I got admission in this program by giving 2 rounds of selection process. The first one was an online MCQ test after which they filter out the students. The 2nd round of selection was an interview with two panelists. After which they send you the confirmation mail if selected.

The faculty teaching for B.Com (Hons.) is quite experienced, having a strong background and foundation in teaching the same subjects for over 15-16 years. Few of the faculty members have their own books written and published for the subject they teach. Their style of teaching is quite innovative and new because of the experience that they have in teaching. Using various practical life examples, case studies, one to one interaction with the students, mentoring, and topic presentation from students enhances the learning style and enthusiasm in the classroom. The teachers always encourage doubts and queries and solve them promptly. They guide us with extra supporting materials to study from.

Yes, we do have a placement cell at Christ University. For our course B.Com (Hons.) as per the reports, the students have gotten a good placement from top companies like Goldman Sachs, etc. As per my knowledge in this topic, the placement cell really helps the students to acquire jobs in the concerned industry of their choice. Of course, the competition for getting a good placement with a good salary is really difficult. But Christ does offer good placement opportunities to its students.

Yes, we do have residential facilities at Christ University. The hostels at Christ are quite strict regarding the curfew timings and the dress code. But nevertheless this strictness and discipline keeps an individual in control. The infrastructure is very positive and homely providing a good space to work and organize the belongings. The hostel includes all the basic amenities such as lift, hot and cold water, and assistance from doctors whenever in need. Day to day room cleaning is done by the housekeeping staff. Hostel at Christ promises a good safety and security to an individual.

The campus and infrastructure of Christ University is the main attraction of many students which is really worth it. At Christ University main campus, Bangalore we have 4 blocks, a main auditorium block, a central block, and the newest block which is the "Research and Development Block". All the classes of the specified courses are conducted in these academic blocks as per the requirements. The college offers basic amenities such as lift, hot and cold drinking water, a healthcare center, a big football ground, basketball ground, turf, theater rooms, music rooms and what not. The campus offers everything a student needs for his or her development. The buildings and classrooms are well equipped with good furniture and perfect lights and fans.

The campus life at Christ University is an experience to cherish forever. It offers a beautiful, positive and green environment. The campus is very huge and well maintained. At present the college has a foot walk of around 20000 students but it is maintained in such a beautiful way that we never experienced traffic anywhere. It offers different canteens with good and hygienic food. The college has students coming from all over the world offering a great opportunity to network with so many people. Different clubs and societies in each department are formed to contribute to an individual’s holistic development. We get a chance to attend business fests in our college as well as other colleges in Bangalore. The engagement activities such as dance, singing, and oratory club keep the spirit of students high.
