Punjab Engineering College is overall good college. You can get good job with package of more than Rs. 10 lakhs. You get a very good Campus and Hostel life. You can take part in competitions held in biggest fest of North India and get recognition.

JEE Mains is main criteria to get entry into this college. You need to score good marks in JEE Mains to get entry into the college. Only Non-medical students are eligible for courses in the college. Various courses are available to pursue. Like Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Aerospace Engineering. One can opt for any of these courses based on the JEE Mains rank.

Almost each faculty member has done M.Tech and many of faculty members have done PhDs. Most of the faculty members have studied in IITs. So you can expect they have good subject knowledge. Faculty members refer to international authors book for theory and numerical. They teach through power point presentations. They take 2 exams in a semester and give 4-5 assignments.

Yes we have a placement cell in our college. It is Career Development and Guidance Centre. It helps the students to get their dream jobs. In 7th semester, companies start visiting college for jobs. Around 80% of students get placed and remaining either go for higher studies or study for Govt. Jobs.

Yes we have Hostel facility in the college. Hostel life is one of the good things about the college. You get to interact with the senior and juniors and learn something new. You enjoy with them, study with them and eat with them. Hostel rooms are not well maintained. Hostel toilets and bathrooms are not cleaned every day. Hostel mess doesn't serve good food.

Campus is govt institution. So infrastructure is not so good. Labs are very old and most of the machines do not work properly. Auditorium is very small and cannot hold full year. It can hold 3 branches of a year. It has capacity of 250 students. Classrooms are good. They are equipped with AC's and Smart Monitor to present PPTs and Play Video and Audios. Sports facility is available with cricket, football and athletic grounds.

Punjab Engineering College has one of the best Fest in north India. PECFest is cultural and technical fest which happens every year in the month of November. A lot of competitions happen in the fest which sees a participation of at least 5 other colleges. There are a total of 16 clubs and technical societies in the college. They organize various events from time to time.
