Chandigarh University B.Tech Review By Syed Furqan Jamal

Chandigarh university is a private university located in a locality named Gharuan Punjab. As this university is known for its excellent campus life and diversity, people here can learn a lot from others and they can interact so that they can share their thoughts and can respect each other idea's and thought process. Personally if I have to recommend this college I will recommend just for the campus life and diversity. Here the student will grow their personality and can make friends. The teachers here are supportive and respective towards the students so you need not to worry much about the teachers and marks. Also the campus is clean and they plant trees which is also good. You will get hostel easily because there are 8000 hostel beds for boys and approx 4-5 thousand for girls.

I took Computer Science and Engineering from this university and now i am in 4th year. I am a lateral entry student which means I have done diploma and got admission in the 2nd year of engineering program. When I first came here I got to know about teachers that they are just 5-6 years elder than the students which is actually a plus point here which means you can talk to them and have proper communication. The teachers need to be strict so that the student can maintain decorum while studying inside the classroom. Projects are also made here every year. Time to time hackathon took place here so that is also good. They have numerous tie ups with the companies like IBM. They also teach AI and ML and other specialized courses but mine one is "general". Overall my rating for academics is 7/10.

Faculty here is very good. Not all are good but the majority of them are good. The teachers are 5-6 years elder than us which indirectly help the students to put their points and share their views with the teachers if they face any issue. Every section has their mentor assigned who solves the problem of the student if they face any issue. Coordinators and HoDs are very cooperative here. The teaching staff is good but they are not so experienced. But still their behavior with the students is nice.

This is something that will become the deciding factor here, placements here are average. May be because of the war between the outside countries. Our country students are facing unemployability. But I also feel they need to focus much on their placements, as this is what they said that they provide 100 percent placements. I don’t think this is true and I can only say that placement here is just average don’t expect much if you are an average student. My rating for this is 6/10.

I am a hosteller and I must say hostel life here is very good. You will easily get the hostel. The hostel area of Chandigarh university is very large and I will definitely recommend you to take the hostel here.

Infrastructure of Chandigarh university is good and is kept clean. You will find clean classrooms, washrooms, pathways, gardens, grounds, and 24/7 the security guards are around the campus. Infrastructure is definitely cool and you will love it for sure. Buildings are painted white in the north campus and red in the south campus. The south campus of this university is the most attractive thing in CU.

Campus life here is very good. The people are friendly and you can make friends easily for sure. You should take hostel to enjoy the Campus life. You will find diversity here. Here you will find international students as well. Campus is very clean and green. Regularly the university organise events like Tashan nights and Dj nights for the students so that they can enjoy. Events and activities are regular. Various celebrities come here at these events to promote their songs, films etc. So campus life here is 9/10.
